Jessica + Nick

Jessica and Nick were married on September 22nd, with a ceremony at Paradise Cove and a reception at Tuscany Westlake Village.

Jessica and Nick’s Paradise Cove Wedding Ceremony

When I met Jessica and Nick, I instantly connected with Nick, who is as lovely, as kind, and as generous of a man as any man has a right to be. He doted on his lovely bride the whole day, making their love just that much more obvious for the rest of us. And who could blame him? Jessica is beautiful, kind and soft spoken with striking blue eyes. She’s a hair and makeup artist and did her own look—and I’d say she looked amazing!

After the ceremony, I snuck away with Jessica and Nick to get some Editorial shots on the beach. I spotted a ridiculously cool cliff that was a stark contrast to the elegant lines of Jessica’s wedding gown. As I was walking Jessica to the spot where I wanted to capture her portrait, I turned to Nick and said, “This portrait will forever be my gift and will be EPIC.” He replied, with a gentle smile and tear in his eye, that he loved Jessica and afterwards thought the image and Jessica was breathtaking.

A Beautiful Tuscany Westlake Village Wedding

When we arrived at the Tuscany Westlake Village Restuarant, that gentle and enduring love was on display once again with a first dance that was as private and intimate as I had ever witnessed. It was as if they were all alone on the dance floor and no one else was there. But once everyone was invited onto the dance floor, we all got swept up in a huge circle of excitement, cultural music, dance and a whole lot of laughter.

Nick & Jessica, thank you for such a beautiful wedding day. I often say that I’m not hired to photograph weddings but “invited” to celebrate love with our B&G’s, friends and famial. This day was no exception. I caught myself crying and laughing out loud—from the stories about you to the celebratory hora and everything in between. Thank you for inviting me to your wedding and “letting me be Joey.”
